The royal town Kadaň with 20.000 inhabitans lying in the northwest of the republic belongs to the most numerous ice hockey region in our country.  From the western part they are Karlovy Vary, from the north then  Most, Litvínov, Ústí n. Labem and Chomutov. On the lower level are playing hockey in this region even in Děčín, Louny, Bílina and Klášterec nad Ohří. Hockey camps in Kadan are intended for summer training ones.  Sports hostel is directly connected with the outdoor swimming pool situated in the pleasant greenery surrounded by the city park and with a heated two pools. The hostel has a capacity of 30 beds in double and triple rooms with shower/WC. Catering is organized in the restaurant, which is close to the ice stadium. Here are both ice hockey hall and other services in the immediate vicinity. The nearest shopping option is a supermarket Kaufland. Dressing rooms are spacy enough with own showers/WC.

Kadan is a real 'Hockey Town' with senior 'A' team that plays in the Czech first hockey league. Hockey games in Kadan are always very well attended. Near Kadan is the city of Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad). This elegant town is a very famous spa town. It now has been beautifully restored and has many interesting shops and good restaurants. Karlovy Vary is also world-wide known for it's filmfestival and as the home of the Czech liquor 'Becherovka'. There is another possibility to make day or evening sightseeing trips to Prague. Prague is a vibrant city with many historic and cultural sights (such as the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and the Old Town Square) as well as fine restaurants, Discos and modern stores.
